In today's Fantasy Life Newsletter, presented by BetMGM:
My husband recently told me he doesnāt love me anymore. Well, the actual words that came out of his mouth were: āYouāre in way too many fantasy football leagues.ā
But still. I know what I heard!
As a self-proclaimed āGood Listener,ā Iām bringing my skills to you. Here are the words that came out of the mouths of the NFL and how I heard it.
Rams GM, Les Snead, on Los Angelesā backfield
His words: āWe do think ⦠that having a committee, and a committee with different skill sets, only helps us continue being able to run the football.ā
What I heard: āAfter two consecutive 1,000+ yard seasons with double-digit TDs, itās become way too easy for fantasy managers to draft Kyren Williams. I want them to second-guess themselves while drafting. They donāt deserve happiness. Blake Corum time?ā
Falcons OC Zac Robinson on what heād like to see from Kyle Pitts in 2025.
His words: ā⦠what weāre looking for from Kyle is just that next level of understanding of the offense and the intent of what weāre trying to get done. And then, just ultimately, play fast no matter what.ā
What I heard: āThese fantasy managers are right. 10 TDs in four years is not going to cut it. Have you seen Brock Bowers? He scored more TDs in his rookie season than Kyle Pitts has in any season ⦠EVER. Draft Brock Bowers.ā
Jets HC, Aaron Glenn, on Garrett Wilson.
His words: āGive him the ball as much as possible. Give him the ball as much as possible. Thatās it.ā
What I heard: āGarrett Wilson is Mike Evans 2.0. This year is going to be his fourth consecutive 1k season. What else are we going to do? Throw the ball to Allen Lazard?ā
Colts GM Chris Ballard on rookie TE Tyler Warren
His words: āHe runs through people and over people.ā
What I heard: āWe canāt rely on our QBs, but we can rely on Tyler Warren. Tyler Warren is our offense now.ā
Aaron Rodgers on whether heād ever consider playing for the Saints.
His words: āNo. Thatās the answer.ā
What I heard: āNo. I donāt want to be second fiddle to Tyler Shough.ā
